Golden Eagle

It has been more than 15 years since golden eagles nested in the Wildcat Canyon country of Morgan County. But we still see wandering birds on a regular basis and several usually winter here. This handsome adult was photogrphed in the company of a juvenile just NW of Morgan Heights in September, 2008.
